CCTSI Translational Pilot Program for Collaborative Translational and Clinical Research

RFAs are issued annually in early summer, with applications due in the fall, and awards follow at the end of the year. Key dates are posted on this site and announced to the community.

 About the Translational Pilot Program

The Translational Pilot Grant Program of the CCTSI provides one-year pilot grant awards meant to encourage cross-disciplinary and collaborative research in clinical and translational science. Translational research is broadly defined and includes any basic, pre-clinical or clinical research with promise to improve human health.

Translational Pilot Program Focus Areas with Specific Award Levels:

  • CO-Pilot: cross-disciplinary research in clinical and translational medicine
    • Mentored - $30,000
    • Junior - $30,000
    • Independent - $60,000
    • Team - $100,000
  • CNS-Pilot: Center for NeuroScience translational neuroscience research
    • Independent - $30,000
    • Team - $100,000
  • CSU/CU-Pilot Collaboration: collaborative translational research between Colorado State University and the University of Colorado
    • Collaboration - $60,000
